Sancionada Lei 14.023, de coautoria da Deputada Adriana Ventura, com medidas para garantir a saúde dos profissionais essenciais
Mais segurança e proteção para aqueles que trabalham na linha de frente do Covid. O Projeto de Lei 1409/2020, de coautoria da Deputada Federal Adriana Ventura, foi sancionado pelo presidente Jair Bolsonaro e se tornou a Lei 14.023 que determina que, durante a pandemia, o governo e os empregadores protejam os profissionais que trabalham na linha de frente. O boletim epidemiológico do Ministério da Saúde do dia 8 de julho apontou 173.440 casos de Covid-19 confirmados em profissionais da saúde de todo o país.
A nova Lei exige o fornecimento gratuito de equipamentos de proteção individual (EPIs) como máscaras, proteção de olhos e luvas, entre outros para os profissionais. Também garante que eles tenham prioridade na realização dos testes de diagnóstico da Covid-19.
Atuante na Comissão Externa de Enfrentamento à Covid-19, a deputada Adriana Ventura afirma: “nós devemos zelar pela vida dos profissionais de saúde e de segurança que zelam por nós”. Como estes profissionais podem ter contato direto com pessoas contaminadas, eles merecem ter prioridade para fazer os testes da Covid-19 com a frequência que atenda critérios e padrões de biossegurança.
O projeto de lei, em sua versão original, contemplava estritamente os profissionais ligados à saúde. Contudo, uma alteração de redação ampliou a lista de profissionais que a lei considera essenciais ao controle de doenças e à manutenção da ordem pública.
